Women Empowerment Program

Women Empowerment Programme is primarily divided into two major parts - Literacy Project and Skill-Enhancement Training.

The primary aim of the program is to up-skill women to help them become financially independent and thereby uplift their dignity.

The literacy project aims to improve the basic literacy skills in women belonging to the nearby villages. Around 25 odd women are enrolled in this programme. They are provided with regular classes and guidance. Their learning is further aided by provision of Kutumb library access. These women are encouraged to read books in order to broaden their knowledge base and perspective in life.

● Sewing Training

Women are trained on garment sewing and are exposed to a hands-on experience. A large proportion of these women then pursue certification and eventually earn their livelihood through tailoring business.

● Beautician Training

Rural women are trained in beautician courses encompassing a variety of beauty skills which they then employ to generate income sustainably.

● Project Sanskriti

Women belonging to the nearby villages are guided to create innovative handicrafts. These art pieces are then sold through exhibitions and the revenue thus generated is directed towards the development of these women’s livelihood.
